 St Magaret's Bay, Kent, UK A winter dawn in this east facing location offered the possibility of a rising sun out to sea. I set my tripod low to the ground to include as much foreground as possible without sacrificing the lovely colours in the sky. Capturing the receding tide took a few attempts but finally I timed my exposure and the wave's motion correctly.
