 Les Orgues, France After my visit during the day I had learnt that this geology is only repeated in Bryce Canyon and I knew from other people's work how good that location looked with good, low light falling on it. I hunted for a location that would offer a good viewpoint of the rocks which I could still access when the site was closed at dawn. The next morning I began the long drive, bleary eyed, and wondering if the light would even show up to my chosen viewpoint. Although the sun appeared right on cue, looking at the shot now I wish there had been snow capping the distant peaks. Fickle bunch aren't we?
