 Sunflower, Provence, France Provence in summer has always proved to be a challenge for me-I'm either too early or too late for the lavender and sunflowers. On one disastrous occasion, the fields I'd planned to visit were replaced with corn the year I arrived!
That said, I did find one field still with tall and proud sunflowers in it and spent a happy few hours working through my various compositions underneath their sunny, warm gaze. Persistence does, sometimes, pay off.
