 Lone Tree, Buttermere, England As luck would have it I arrived here on a day of clear skies and strong, crisp autumnal light-a rarity at Buttermere! The sun was soon to dip behind the fells but before it did it backlit this tree beautifully and I composed the shot to emphasise the contrast between the lit tree and the dark hill side behind.
