Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland Coming here for the first time it was very obvious that I would need to revisit many more times to turn the abundance of potential shots into reality. On this evening, after a rain shower, I settled on the rocks capped with their mini pools of water and the late evenng light catching the far side of the bay. Originally shot on 120 film, it is only now that I have scanned the image and applied some crucial post production work that I can add it to my collection. The sheer versatility of digital processing from removing bird poo and blurred guls to adjusting the colour settings to suit my recollection of what I saw, makes it hard to contemplate being without it now. Time spent in front of the computer is not ideal, I have to say, but I accept it as a necessary evil and use my film training to get my digital pictures right 'in camera' as much as possible to cut out needless extra post production work.
