This workshop is designed to cover the basic and intermediate skills on how to use your camera, whilst we photograph the evening light over Margate's stunning water front and it’s beautifully restored Old Town. We also have the Turner Contemporary to photograph as well as the tidal pools that offer excellent abstract photography opportunities.
This is a short course allowing you to spend time with an experienced and award winning landscape photographer where you can ask questions, learn about your camera and your own creative interpreation of a scene in a fun and friendly group.
I hope that by the end of this workshop you’ll feel greater confidence in handling your camera and some skills thast will be of good use for your future photography.
What will we cover?
This is a short, manageable course, designed to cover all the basics of camera function and how to adjust your settings, what effect they have on your photographs and how to select the appropriate settings. We will then put this into practice as we photograph the scenery around us.
Where is it?
We’ll meet at Droit House (the white Tourist Information Centre) on the harbour arm, next to the Turner Contemporary.
How many are in the group?
Not more than 6 people. I’ll be running this workshop on both weekends so there is plenty of chances to find a place.
What shall I bring to the event?
Camera(!), tripod and all your lenses and accessories-we will consider how to use watever kit you have. Tripod’s are defnitely a desired item thogh. Also, warm clothes, hats and gloves and all your questions on photography…
