Field Notes

The famous Castlerigg Stone Circle is just outside Keswick and yet the views with the fells behind capture it in it's isolated splendour as it forms a beautiful, man made, addition to the natural landscape. Although it's well photographed there is always differences in composition, lighting and weather to enjoy and use to create something new from the location. I opted for a panorama to capture the full width of the stone circle from my viewpoint with the fells beyond. The foreground was not especially useful but the sky was so this allowed me to reduce one and emphasise more the other with this approach.
