Field Notes

Mist is never easy to predict, even in the Lake District, but it does tend to happen more often than not at the right time of year, making it worth persisting with soe early morning in order to find some. With a blanket of mist over Kewick which hid it from view, I turned my attention to the views east towards High Rigg which were backlit by the rising sun. The strong lighting combined with the shadows to make for a dramatic composition and one I had no expected to find, which makes it even more sweet to enjoy.
