A clear morning and hopes of an atmospheric sunrise were not high. However, expect the unexpected is a mantra for landscape photography and when some low cloud passed over at the moment the sun peeped over the horizon it made for a beautiful scene and exciting period of photography. The composition is such that the horizon is bang in the middle to emphasise the symmetry between the sky and the reflections. It also means the focal point, the church, is nicely in the middle where they eye inevitably goes to.
