Visiting one of the most beautiful locations in the world was a sure fire way to end up competing with a large crowd of people! Not photographers, just good old fashioned sun seekers. I was disappointed, but I persisted with exploring the location and identifying boats I thought would look good. Eventually, as the tourists began to slip away, the beach became less crowded and this single boat sat in the exquisite, warm Andaman Sea became a wonderful photographic moment. I worked hard in the heat using my wide angle lens to emphasise the shape of the boat and capture a ruffle of wind blowing the scarves elegantly in the breeze.
