Field Notes
Travel photography and landscape photography often appear, to me, to be confused. For me, a travel shot will need to include either human presence or some very strong connection to it; be it close ups of street food or conical hats silhouetted at dawn in rice paddy fields. This shot has both going on and the boat's shape, colours and sign are perfectly offset by the customer tucking in with that unmistakably foreign landscape beyond.
