Not every thing about the Lake District is 'big and 'beautiful.' So much is, of course, but it's also a wonderful place to explore with a more abstract eye looking for less obvious ideas for compositions and photographs. After a spell of rain, I noticed the fresh rain drops falling from this tree and found a long telephopto lens gave me the view I was atfer, which was to transport the viewer into the heart of this softly, lit, rain drenched tangle of winter branches.  By removing a sense of scale and spatial awareness away from our normms the image is engagng depsote it's inhrent simplicity.
