Field Notes

One of my favourite locations to shoot in Canterbury; the split roads leading the eye up and away through the lovely Medieval streets of Canterbury make for an interesting composition. At dusk, when the ambient light levels drop and the tungsten lights add a warm glow the combination is magical. Set up on a tripod I shoot a sequence of images to create the wide angle panorama which is wider than any lens but emphasises the close, compact experience of being down on the street level under these ancient buildings. f8 ISO 100, 3.2 secs, exposures merged in Photoshop.
