Field Notes

I'd had this idea in mind for about a year and I'd worked out what time of day, month and weather conditions would give me the best chance of making it happen. That probably sounds grander than it is. What I mean is I knew I needed early evening light to put some colour in the sky whilst the street lights were on, I'd need a late summer sunset to avoid people in shot and some rain right on cue to make the cobbles a reflective surface. When everything came nicely together it was a very satisfying moment-a bit of a frenzy of tripod positioning, rain dodging and furious exposure taking, but satisfying and exhilarating none the less.
