Field Notes
Much effort is made to bring these gardens to life and the plants change throughout the Spring and Summer bringing a variety of colours to this scene. My location searching decided the time of day; sunrise for peace, tranquillity, light coming in from the right hand side and, at 4.30am, no throngs of people! These considerations are all part and parcel of planning a shoot to get the best possible outcome from a scene. It’s a routine I’m used to and something I do before I decide to turn up with my camera, especially in the urban landscape where one can easily find unsightly road works or scaffolding ruining both the view and what might have been a pleasant lie in!
