Field Notes
These iconic cliffs have seen it all; from the Romans to the Normans to the Spanish Armada, to the Luftwaffe! I find myself reimagining the incredible history of this location every time I am here and feeling humbled by it all. Can I capture that feeling? Probably not, not all at once. Maybe through a series of images focussing on each era. For a one off experience though, I prefer a calmer interpretation; with the sun in the south east it rose nicely in the composition to take advantage of the flowing cliff line and the view out to sea.
