Abstract & macro photography offers a fascinating insight into the small world that we often miss; the world of bugs, plants and little flying things. There's also something quite compelling about capturing the intricate details, colours, shapes and patterns in weathered rocks or woodland. In all these photos, there is a element of the transient and the 'never to be repeated', from swirling mist to resting butterflies; one minute they are there, the next they are off and the chance has gone. Many of the photographs have a Field Note with technical and creative information, just open a photograph and click the 'i' button to read more.
